Global Mining Finance is annual book created to provide mining and financial executives with an overview of the industry from a World-wide perspective. Back in 2010, Paola Rojas, VP Corporate Development, was contacted to contribute to the Latin America Round Up, the portion of the report that deals with Latin America. “It’s been 4 years since I got Silvia Santacruz’s first call –journalist in charge- while I was crossing the Argentinean-Chilean border for the holidays. The connection was bad as I was in the middle of nowhere, on the road. She said Christopher Ecclestone had referred me as an expert on Argentina and that she was hoping to ask me a few questions for this report. That’s how it started.
